Day 1 – Welcome to Vilnius
Combining edgy-cool effortlessly with vintage charm, the beautiful baroque capital of Lithuania, Vilnius, offers new sights, sounds and experiences at every corner! After arriving, you will be transferred to your hotel. Spend the day strolling and exploring Vilnius, which is famous for its ‘Brick Gothic’ architecture and the Old Town, one of the largest surviving medieval towns in the world.
Day 2 – City Vibes (Vilnius)
We start the day by walking through the baroque city of Vilnius, specifically the Cathedral Square. The area houses stunning architectural marvels such as the neo-classical Vilnius Cathedral, with its distinct bell tower, and the majestic red-brick tower of Gediminas soaring in the background. Continue the baroque exploration at the 17th century Church of St. Peter. The day ends with a stroll along one of the oldest streets of the country, Pilies Street, which has today turned into a lively city centre, known for its shopping, especially souvenirs.
Day 3 – Opulence Par Excellence (Vilnius – Rundale Palace)
Today, we take you to the impressive Rundale Palace, a few hours outside the city. This spectacular specimen of highborn wealth was funded by Anna Ioannovna, the Empress of Russia, for her beloved in 1730's. After her death, Rundale went through many phases of being used as a hospital, a school and even a grain stockroom, before rising to fame again. Today, it is popularly known as ‘Little Versailles’ and houses an impressive collection of furniture, china, silver and paintings from Europe and the East.
Day 4 - A Medieval Tale (Riga)
Drive down from Vilnius to the Latvian capital of Riga a beautiful blend of architecture, from romantic cobbled streets and Art Nouveau houses to Lutheran churches, sparkling markets and the charmingly medieval Old Town. It is also known for being the biggest centre of art-nouveau architecture anywhere in the world. And this is the focus of our trip today! We will explore the streets to see some of the most stunning monuments of the city such as the Powder Tower, the Small and the Great Guild, the House of Blackheads, and the "Three Brothers", along with the oldest church in the country.
Day 5 – Coast to Coast (Riga - Pärnu – Tallinn)
Start the day by driving to Pärnu - better known as ‘Estonia's Summer Capital’. White sandy beaches, water sports, cocktail bars, relaxing spas and plenty of restaurants make Pärnu a popular tourist destination! A few hours’ drive will bring us to the other side of the coast, to the Estonian capital of Tallinn. The ‘Nest of Medieval Gothic', Tallinn, with its protected city walls, red clay tile rooftops, primitive towers, and the picturesque town square, not forgetting its ancient churches and sun-kissed beaches, is one of the most enchanting cities of Estonia. Our day ends at Tallinn’s famous city hall, which is the oldest in Northern Europe and stands as a powerful symbol of the city and its past.
Day 6 – Village Life (Rocca al Mare)
Begin your day by revisiting old traditions that are still alive in the Baltic States as you reach Rocca al Mare, the beautiful centre of the Estonian Open-Air Museum. This reconstruction of villages and farms from the 18th to 20th century showcases the country’s rural life in a larger than life way. Walk around the city and explore the markets, forests, old Tallinn churches and farms and fill your soul with the nostalgia of a bygone era whose essence is still alive in the air of Rocca al Mare.
Day 7 – A day for Tallinn!
This day is for you to sit back, relax and take in all the Baltic culture, art, scenic beauty and breath-taking architecture in Tallinn. Take some time to buy souvenirs and gifts and taste some local food; ending the day on a strip of golden beach, before its time to head back home!
