The Journey

Welcome to Tbilisi

We start at Georgia’s capital, Tbilisi – vibrant, historic and artistic, with an air of chic that has made it a popular destination in recent years. Our representative will meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel for check-in.

Exploring Tbilisi and Mtskheta

Take the day to explore the main attractions of the city, including Holy Trinity Cathedral, Metekhi Church, the Monument of Vakhtang Gorgasali, Narikala Fortress, Sulphur Bathhouse District, and Rezo Gabriadze Theatre. Then drive down to the ancient city of Mtskheta, approximately 40 minutes away and home to UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. End at the Samtavro Monastery Complex before returning to the capital for the night.

Winemaking Traditions

Georgia boasts of the oldest wine culture in the world, which is best showcased in the unique winemaking tradition of Qvevri. The practice has been passed down from generations across Georgian villages, where unique grape varieties are grown. Earthenware vessels called Qvevri are buried in the ground to ferment the grapes naturally, giving Georgian wine its distinct flavour. Today, you get to experience this tradition and taste some of the indigenous wines.

To the Mountains

Today, you get the unique opportunity to ride on the retro train, 'Cuckoo', which is more than 100 years old! Drive to the famous ski resort Bakuriani, located at an altitude of 1700 meters above sea level, surrounded by pine forests. And ride the historic train to Borjomi, where natural springs and sulfur pools await. We will stop here to take a swim in the warm waters. Don’t forget to pack your swimming accessories for the day.
