The Journey

1

Welcome to Norway (Bergen)

Arrive at the Bergen airport on the western coast of Norway. You will be picked up for your private transfer to the hotel for check-in. The beautiful city of Bergen was an important seaport during the Middle Ages and this historic legacy can still be seen in parts of the city. Settle down at your hotel and take the rest of the day to relax.
2

Exploring Bergen

Meet your guide at the hotel’s lobby and start a private walking tour of the city, including the fish market, the old Hanseatic warehouses, the cathedral and the charming wooden houses of Bryggen. Enjoy a ride on the funicular to Mount Fløyen for a panoramic view of the city below. Spend the rest of the day, exploring the city at your own pace.
3

Norwegian Country (Bergen – Flåm)

We will be making an exciting trip through the spectacular countryside of Norway. Make your way to the railway station to board the train to Voss, where you will change to a bus bound for Gudvangen. From here, you take a boat through the dramatic landscapes of Nærøyfjord, to reach Flåm. Check in to your hotel and spend the day absorbing the exquisite beauty of the area.
4

Mountain Train (Flåm – Oslo)

Make your way to the train station and board the Flåm Railway, one of the steepest train lines in the world, to the mountainous station of Myrdal. Here, you will change for your train to Oslo. The capital of Norway is known for being one of the greenest cities in the world, with a playful side that comes alive after hours. The city was home to famous Norwegian expressionist Edvard Munch, who’s painting “The Scream” is one of the most iconic images in art today. Take some time to get acquainted with the city, before you head out the next day.
5

Exploring Oslo

After breakfast, step out for a guided tour of the most famous highlights of Oslo. Your day will include visits to the charming city centre, the surreal Holmenkollen ski jump, the impressive Vigeland Sculpture Park and a museum of your choice on the Bygdøy Peninsula. We recommend the Fram Museum or Kon-Tiki Museum. During summers, the return journey takes place on a boat and winters are by coach. Drive back to your hotel for overnight stay.
