Day 1: Good Morning Vietnam! (Hanoi)
Welcome to Hanoi, one of the oldest capitals in the world. As we drive you down from the airport to your hotel, soak in the views of picturesque pagodas, colonial buildings and busy streets – sights that throw light on a city of varied influences. Hanoi is known for its vibrant nightlife and delectable Vietnamese cuisine. After checking in, you have the rest of the day to relax or explore the city as you wish.
Day 2: Exploring the City (Hanoi)
Your private tour of the city begins this morning with the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, an impressive monument of marble, granite and precious woods. Visit the Temple of Literature, founded nearly 1,000 years ago. After lunch, take a stroll around Old Hanoi as your private guide shares insights into the history and traditions of this colourful district.
Later, we will visit the Ngoc Son Temple, built in the 18th century on a tiny island of the Hoan Kiem Lake. We will end our exploration of Vietnam with the Water Puppet performance, a traditional and uniquely Vietnamese art form which started centuries ago.
Day 3: Magical Cruises (Hanoi – Ha Long Bay)
Start your day with a drive down to the scenic Ha Long Bay, a few hours out of the city, covered with limestone islands, hidden coves, mysterious caves and emerald green waters. Here, you will board a luxurious cruise that passes through Hoa Cuong – a small fishing village – and other remote beaches and uninhabited islands.
After stepping off for an exciting, guided cave adventure, return to the ship to enjoy some time on the deck, sipping on cocktails as you watch the pristine beauty of the area. Our onboard chef will offer a cooking demonstration, accompanied with cocktails and light canapés, before we head to the ship’s inviting dining room for dinner.
Day 4: Along the Bay (Ha Long Bay)
After a relaxed breakfast on board, get ready for some action! We have arranged an exclusive Tai Chi class, where you can learn the intricacies of this ancient art. You will have some time free to relax or take a dive into the clear waters for a refreshing swim. Spend the day anchored in a quite spot, enjoying the intimacy and luxury of your stay. Or cruise gently to unearth other islands and caves around the area. Lunch and dinner on board.
Day 5: Old Towns (Ha Long Bay – Hoi An)
After a late breakfast, disembark from your cruise for a drive down to the airport for your flight to Da Nang city. From here, we will drive to the city of Hoi An, our next destination. Check into your luxurious hotel and take some time to freshen up. Later, we go for a walking tour of the town, exploring its ancient seafaring heritage. Walk to the Chua Ong Pagoda, built in 1653, and Jinshang Temple – dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea and the protector of seafaring merchants. Visit the 200-year-old Tan Ky Ancestral House and end the day with a pleasant cruise on the Thu Bon river. Dinner will be at the riverfront.
Day 6: Steeped in Culture (Hoi An)
Today, you have the option of experiencing the city in one of these three unique ways.
Village Life: Boat cruise and cycle tour into the rural landscapes of Quang Nam Province, where you interact with locals and learn more about local crafts life rice paper, mat weaving and boat making.
My Son: A guided excursion to the ancient capital of the Cham Empire, an archaeological site of impressive tower temples situated amongst lush green forests.
Culinary Adventures: A personal session with our expert chef-instructor on the outstanding culinary traditions and regional specialties of Vietnam.
Day 7: Scuba Days (Hoi An – Cham Island)
Take a full day to discover scuba diving at Cham Island with a certified instructor. Situated 25 nautical miles off the coast of Hoi An, Cham Island (commonly known in Vietnamese as Cu Lao Cham) consists of seven islets named according to their shapes and characteristics. The scenic landscape is ideal for scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming and camping with a stunning array of coral and marine life. You will board a boat and cruise to Cham Islands, where you get to hop through a few diving and snorkelling sites. Enjoy a barbecue lunch before heading back to the hotel.
Note: This tour is designed for those who have experience in diving and a diving license. If clients do not have diving certification, surcharge will be applied on spot.
Day 8: Buzzing Cities (Hoi An – Ho Chi Minh)
After a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, we will take you to the airport for your flight to perhaps the most happening destination in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City. As you drive through the city to your hotel, soak in the energetic pulse of this lively city where Vietnam comes to life in street markets, high-end malls, timeless alleys and soaring skyscrapers. After check-in, the rest of the day is yours to spend as you please.
Day 9: Into the By-lanes (Ho Chi Minh City)
After breakfast, step out for a guided tour of the colourful Ho Chi Minh, starting with some of Saigon’s most famous Colonial-era landmarks including the Central Post Office and Opera House. Continue with a guided tour through the Reunification Palace, formerly known as the Presidential Palace. Nearby, the War Remnants Museum offers a penetrating look into the ravages of war as seen through the eyes of the Vietnamese people; followed by the bustling Ben Thanh Market.
In the afternoon, hop onto a cycle to explore the lanes of Chinatown with its unique landmarks including Cha Tam Church and Chua Ong Pagoda. Then step off to explore an herbal medicine market where you get insights into traditional healing techniques.
Day 10: Bidding Farewell (Ho Chi Minh City)
After breakfast at the hotel, drive down to the airport for your flight back home.
