The Journey

Day 1: Welcome to Baku!

Fly over the Caspian Sea to the fascinating coastal city of Baku – where an ancient walled city sits amidst soaring skyscrapers; and Islamic mosques and towers reside next to some of the most awe-inspiring pieces of modern architecture. Everything about Baku tickles a sense of curiosity and exploration! Spend today at leisure, before we head out for our first night in town! And what better place to kick off Baku’s nightlife but the superbly popular Merchant Street, locally called Torgovaya. One of the most expensive streets in the world, Torgovaya is Azerbaijan’s trendiest hub for eating, drinking, shopping and partying!

Day 2: Exploring the City (Baku)

Today, we step out to get a taste of Baku’s unique buildings and architectural styles. We begin at The Alley of Martyrs, leading to The National Assembly, followed by the Flame Towers, the tallest skyscraper in Baku. Later, we will ride atop the Baku Ferris Wheel, also called the Baku Eye, for a spectacular view of the city. And walk through the Baku Boulevard, which stretches along a south-facing bay on the Caspian Sea. Spend the evening enjoying a jazz concert in one of Baku’s hip bars.

Day 3: Lush Retreats (Baku – Shahdag Mountain Resort)

Today, we get out of the city for a taste of the countryside at the Shahdag Mountain Resort. Lying in the shadows of the majestic Caucasus mountains, the resort offers a serene retreat close to the untouched and pristine environs of the Shahdag National Park. It’s also the first and largest ski resort of Azerbaijan – a sport you can enjoy here in the late days of December, all through April, when the snow is just right.

After one final breakfast at your hotel, say goodbye to Baku as you are driven to the airport to board your flight back home.

Journey Includes:
